Introduction

Artificial intelligence (AI) is emerging as a driving force in transforming numerous areas of human existence in an era characterised by fast technological breakthroughs. Language, literature, and cultural development are among areas that stand to gain a lot from AI integration. This article explores recent papers that emphasize the possibilities and ramifications of this integration as it relates to the transformational role of AI in the Hausa language, literature, and culture. Cultural legacy and linguistic variety are essential components of every society's identity. Millions of people in West Africa speak Hausa, which has a strong cultural and historical foundation in the area. However, the difficulties associated with language revitalization and preservation in a globalized society have pushed these issues to the fore. Artificial intelligence (AI) tools like machine translation (MT) and natural language processing (NLP) provide creative ways to overcome language barriers and promote intercultural communication (Rehm et al., 2020). The use of AI-driven language models in creating resources for the Hausa language has been explored by scholars in recent works (Haruna et al., 2021). Projects using Hausa sentiment analysis tools and language translation technologies are paving the way for interlingual communication and comprehension. Due to these changes, Hausa content is now available to a wider audience, which not only encourages language variety but also cultural interchange. In recent years, there has been an increase in interest in the areas where language, literature, and culture connect with artificial intelligence (AI). The developing terrain of AI's transformational influence on the growth of Hausa language, literature, and culture is explored in this paper. It also looked at the various contributions of AI to these disciplines, highlighting developments, difficulties, and prospective directions for further investigation. It does so by drawing on a variety of scholarly papers and research.
